Spotify is celebrating its Billions Club playlist with an exclusive, one-night-only performance featuring The Weeknd for a Billions Club Live performance.
The Billions Club Live performance will take place in Los Angeles on December 17th. As for the choice of artist: The Weeknd carries the distinction of having the most songs surpassing one billion streams—and is therefore the leading artist on the playlist.
Spotify says the event will be exclusive to The Weeknd’s top fans on Spotify, with his loyal listeners in LA invited to attend and celebrate. The Weeknd will perform a setlist comprised of his songs on the Billions Club playlist, taking fans through his many musical transformations and unlike anything else he’s ever done.
Billions Club Live is the latest extension of the Billions Club, which celebrates fans’ favorite artists hitting the career milestone of one billion streams on Spotify. The Weeknd recently earned three new RIAA certifications with ‘Starboy’ hitting 6x Platinum Album, “Starboy” winning 15x Platinum Song, and “I Feel It Coming” winning 8x Platinum Song.
Currently The Weeknd has 24 songs with over one billion streams on Spotify as of December 11. Here’s a peek at the upcoming setlist for the Billions Club Live performance.
