Rise Against Announce New Album, Unleash Single “I Want It All”

Rise Against have announced their first new album in over four years, Ricochet, arriving August 15th via Loma Vista Recordings.

The Chicago punk rockers also offered up a new single, “I Want It All,” a rousing three-minute tune built on raw guitar riffs and a lively performance from frontman Tim McIlrath. His impassioned shouts of self call-and-response — “Do you want it all? / Yeah, I want it all!” — anchor the song’s anthemic chorus.

“I Want It All” follows the release of previous singles “Nod” and “Prizefighter,” both of which are included on Ricochet — an album “about our collective inter-connectedness,” in the words of McIlrath.

“We started with the title track and that being about how we’re all — whether we like it or not — stuck in the same room, so to speak,” he said in a press release. “Everything you do is going to affect somebody; everything you throw will affect the next person. We’re connected to other countries, other economies; we’re connected to undocumented immigrants. We’re connected to every decision our leaders make. It’s all one big ricochet effect. That idea is the backbone of this album.”

Ricochet was produced by Catherine Marks (Boygenius, Foals, Manchester Orchestra, St. Vincent) and mixed by Alan Moulder.

Rise Against will be supporting the album with a busy slate of 2025 concert and festival dates, highlighted by the second leg of a co-headlining tour with Papa Roach that kicks off in September. Get tickets here.
