Mark Hoppus has announced a book tour for his forthcoming memoir, ‘Fahrenheit-182’, which is set for release on April 08.
The Blink-182 bassist will embark on a seven-date run of shows across the States, giving fans the chance to enjoy ‘An Evening With Mark Hoppus’.
The in-conversation style shows will begin in Brooklyn on April 09 and conclude in the blink co-founder’s home state of California, via evenings in Washington, Philadelphia, Chicago and more along the way.
Co-authored with Los Angeles-based journalist and author Dan Ozzi, ‘Fahrenheit-182’ tells the story of Hoppus’ childhood in the 80’s and his path to winding up establishing the seminal pop-punk outfit in August 1992.
A description of the forthcoming work, set to be published by HarperCollins, reads:
“This is a story of what happens when an angst-ridden kid who grew up in the desert experiences his parents’ bitter divorce, moves around the country, switches identities from dork to goth to skate punk, and eventually meets his best friend who just so happens to be his musical soulmate.”
“Threaded through with the very human story of a constant battle with anxiety and Mark’s public battle and triumph over cancer, Fahrenheit-182 is a delight for fans and also a funny, smart, and relatable memoir for anyone who has wanted to quit but kept going.”
