Green Day have announced the release of an exclusive “Anniversary” blend of their Punk Bunny Coffee line, set to hit 7-Eleven stores.
This year is significant for both the iconic punk band and the convenience store chain. Green Day is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Dookie and the 20th anniversary of American Idiot with a massive North American tour. They also recently unveiled an expansive American Idiot box set. Meanwhile, 7-Eleven is marking the 60th anniversary of pioneering the concept of freshly brewed coffee in to-go cups.
To commemorate these milestones, Green Day and 7-Eleven are launching the exclusive “Anniversary” blend of Punk Bunny Coffee, available at 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores nationwide for a limited time. The blend is described as having “hints of citrus to awaken the senses, along with undertones of rich stone fruit. The warm cocoa with a gentle hint of spice finish creates a multi-layered coffee experience.”
In addition to the “Anniversary” blend, Punk Bunny bagged blends and K-Cups of the Sound Check and Last Ride In roasts, as well as collectible refill mugs, will be available at 7-Eleven and Speedway stores while supplies last.
This marks Green Day’s second major coffee collaboration announced in as many weeks. Last week, they unveiled a custom coffee brewer in collaboration with Keurig.
