Liverpool’s Eyesore & The Jinx drop their latest single, ‘Float Like a Jellyfish (Sting Like a Subtweet),’ a witty take on the impact of social media.
Eyesore & The Jinx have released their first new single of 2024. The track, ‘Float Like a Jellyfish (Sting Like a Subtweet),’ is out today, adding another layer of anticipation for Eyesore & The Jinx’s upcoming album Jitterbug. Delving into the chaotic world of social media the song is sharp commentary on its influence on societal perspectives. The band, known for their fidgety-post-punk vibe, brings a fresh perspective to the ever-evolving digital landscape.
“‘Float like a Jellyfish’ is a song about the glorious barbarism of social media and its ever-increasing influence in determining the direction of our collective compass at the expense of nuance. It also features my first, only (and by default, best) Bianca Del Rio impersonation. In the unlikely event Bianca sees or hears this, I would like her to know that we are always down for a collab.”
‘Float Like a Jellyfish (Sting Like a Subtweet)’ is out now. Jitterbug is set for release on March 15th.
