Goth-punk artist ELLiS·D has released his latest single, ‘Insect,’ alongside his sophomore EP, Spill, out now via Crafting Room Recordings. The track arrives ahead of an extensive UK and European tour, including an April run supporting Fat Dog.
‘Insect’ exemplifies ELLiS·D’s signature blend of goth-tinged glam-punk, delivering an urgent, chaotic energy that reflects 21st-century paranoia. Written and recorded entirely by Ellis Dickson at Hackney Road Studios with producer Shuta Shinoda (Hot Chip, Jehnny Beth), the track pulsates with nervous tension, mirroring the EP’s overarching themes of inner conflict and theatrical self-destruction.
Offering insight into the song’s meaning, Dickson explains:
“‘Insect’ is a cry for no one, the hopeless pursuit of self-importance crushed under foot by every other generation’s own inflated sense of their significance in time. It’s a happy song.”
Following the release of Spill, ELLiS·D will take his electric live show on the road, performing at venues across the UK and Europe. The tour includes an EP launch show in London, festival dates, and a series of performances alongside Fat Dog, promising a high-octane experience for fans.
