Ed Sheeran Joins The Offspring to Play "Million Miles Away" at BottleRock

Who had an on-stage collaboration between Ed Sheeran and The Offspring on their 2024 bingo card? Incredibly, the UK pop singer and California punk veterans teamed up at this weekend’s BottleRock Napa Valley.

Sheeran made a surprise appearance during The Offspring’s set on Sunday, joining in for a performance of “Million Miles Away” from the band’s 2000 album Conspiracy of One.

In introducing Sheeran, The Offspring’s Dexter Holland said: “Ed told us that one of our records was his first CD that he ever bought when he was a kid. That really meant a lot to us, so we thought, ‘Wow, we’d love to have you come out to join us on stage.’ We’re gonna play one of the songs you wanted to play.”

Next month, The Offspring will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their album Smash with a concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. They’ll then spend the summer play various shows and festivals in both North America and Europe. You can grab tickets here.
