Dutch Interior — Moneyball

Los Angeles group Dutch Interior have arrived with Moneyball, their third album and their first on Fat Possum. Produced by the band’s Connor Reeves and mixed by veteran indie producer Phil Ek, it’s a major step up for the six-piece, who bring personality, soft harmonies, and intriguing detours to their hybrid indie folk sound. It may read more “autumnal” than its spring release date suggests, but all in all, it’s some terrific front porch music to make your 2025 even sweeter.

Starring Eiza González and Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, the film not only features his score but also marks his directorial debut. The soundtrack dropped on March 19, just two days before the premiere, offering a glimpse of what’s to come.

The Horrors — Night Life

Eight years after their last album V, The Horrors re-emerge from the shadows with Night Life. Produced in Los Angeles by Yves Rothman (Blondshell, Yves Tumor), the album dives into the band’s signature dark allure: a gloomy blend of goth, shoegaze, and industrial. With five of its nine tracks out prior to the release, Night Life brings forth an immersive new world for The Horrors.

Men I Trust — Equus Asinus

Dream pop group Men I Trust provided Equus Asisnus as amid-week release on Tuesday (a theme of the week, with fellow weekday albums from Flying Lotus, Saba and No ID, and Weatherday), and it’s only part one of their 2025 offerings. They realized early on in the recording process that their sound was diverging into two different modes, thus cementing the release of two separate-but-paired albums from the Canadian trio: Equus Asinus and Equus Caballus, the latter of which will be released later this year.

Saba & No ID — From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID

Hip-hop shines bright whenever Saba or No ID drop new music, so it’s safe to say that the genre is now radiant beyond measure with the two joining forces. With cameos from BJ the Chicago Kid, Kelly Rowland, Smino, and many more, From the Private Collection of Saba and No ID offers a deep range of flavors across 15 tracks that emphasize the need for alternatives to trap. About piecing together the intricate pieces that make up the album, the 30-year-old MC told Consequence, “So much of how you see yourself as a human comes out in the music one way or another. So I think while some of those conversations can be uncomfortable, they make for the best work. It’s like you reveal yourself to yourself.”
