Zach Bryan is back with his fifth studio album, The Great American Bar Scene.
Released today (the 4th of July), the new album was announced earlier this summer, and was previewed at 23 bars across the country. In a statement, Bryan wrote that these bars “embody the spirit of American culture” — a spirit that is honored throughout the album.
The album’s first single, “Pink Skies,” arrived this past May, and has already racked up over a hundred million streams on Spotify alone. Last month, Bryan followed up with the second single, “Purple Gas.”
Spanning 19 tracks in total, the album also includes collaborations with Bruce Springsteen (“Sandpaper”), John Mayer (“Better Days”), and (“Memphis; The Blues”). Both Springsteen and Mayer joined Bryan during recent live performances, with Mayer describing the experience as “one of the most incredible things I’ve seen in years.”
