A YouTuber’s final video came to an abrupt end after her husband appeared on screen to reveal she had died before she was able to finish it.

Donna Jordan was a YouTuber who focused on sewing and helping run her family’s Jordan Fabrics Quilt Shop.

On March 18, 2025, her husband uploaded Donna’s last video, ‘‘Celebration Of Life: Donna Jordan – Drop Diamonds’ to the platform.

The video began like any of Donna’s sewing tutorial videos, but just before the 12-minute mark, her husband, Matt, made a surprise appearance to explain that her son was unable to finish editing the footage because she died before finishing filming.

YouTuber’s final video ends early as husband announces her death

“Hi everyone, I’m Matt Jordan and this video will end right here,” he said. “James [their son] was never able to put together an ending for it, because unfortunately on March 14 at about 4 in the morning, Donna passed away.”

Matt went on to reveal that Donna had been battling an illness for a few years and over her final three months, it got more acute, resulting in her requiring more treatment.

He further explained that the two had both met at 16, and that Donna was already making quilts way back then.

“I’m 67 now, so I don’t know how long that is, I can’t count that high,” he joked. “But she’s been making quilts the whole time and we’ve been working on our craft of fabric and quilting for about 50 years.”

“I just want to tell you that Donna loved what she did. She couldn’t believe that she could make money cutting quilts and teaching people how to make them. It was such a blessing to her and I hope a blessing to you all.”

With tears in his eyes, Matt continued: “We will miss her greatly. For me, she was a great wife, a great business partner, a great mother.”

Matt added that Jordan Fabrics would continue to make content, but in the meantime, they will be honoring Donna’s life.

“I’m just so happy and blessed to have her be a part of my life and I hope you all enjoyed her in your life also,” he said, ending the video with images of Donna.

Matt celebrated the life of his wife, Donna.

The final video has been viewed nearly 500,000 times, with fans flooding the comments to pay tribute to the YouTuber.

“I cried for a lady I never met but felt like I knew from the many tutorials I have watched. My sympathy to the Jordan family. She will be deeply missed,” one wrote.

“I feel like I just lost one of my best friends,” another commented.

Throughout Donna’s 9 years on YouTube, she uploaded 417 videos, many of which had been viewed millions of times.
