Emily Osment is a very successful actress on one of the world’s biggest shows. She has appeared on Hannah Montana and Young & Hungry. Osment recently appeared on Young Sheldon—and will star in its spinoff. Last month, Osment shared some photos on Instagram celebrating World Water Day. She captioned the post, “HAPPY WORLD WATER DAY (one day late) from your favorite little pisces water baby. I am never happier than when I am surrounded by blue. Get outside and get weird about it!” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Emily Osment stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
In her Instagram post, Osment is seen going for hikes. Ace Fitness states that hiking has a lot of benefits. “Hiking helps increase the strength in the leg muscles, builds stability in the core muscles and enhances balance skills. The more technical the terrain is, along with an increase in climbing intensity, the more balance and core strength is required because more muscles are being recruited to manage the steeper terrain. As you climb, the larger muscles in your legs are activated (such as the quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings and calves), and on the descent, your glutes and quadriceps are working hard to prevent you from falling forward on the decline. Uneven terrain means many of the smaller stabilizer muscles are being worked, which increases stability and balance overall.”
Osment is a big believer in putting herself first. She talked about this on Twitter in 2018. “Special shout out to mental health. Your own sanity is so much more important than anything else. Weird seeing this season’s young and hungry from over a year ago when I was 20lbs heavier and deeply sad. Get yourself right. Get yourself first. It all falls in line.”
Osment likes to golf. She shared these photos and one video on Instagram of herself golfing at a charity event. Osement captioned the post, “Had an unbelievable time golfing to raise money for cancer research today with @cityofhope ! Please visit battleagainstbreastcancer.com to donate to a wonderful cause ! And you already know your girl won the signed Kershaw jersey at the auction…lots of love to my bff @ryanjameshawkins – thank you for all your hard work helping make today so spectacular and @fore.all for sponsoring my whole lewk.”
Osment likes to go swimming to stay in shape. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself in the water. In this set of photos she shared from the Colorado River, Osment is seen wading in the river. She captioned the post, “In Sept 2023, I had the privilege of joining 23 complete strangers to travel 282 miles of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. We were an impressive group of environmentalists, humanitarians, artists and indigenous leaders from land based cultures and then me! (your local friendly neighborhood class clown).”
Osment likes to go paddleboarding. In her Instagram post, she is seen paddleboarding. Ace Fitness states that paddleboarding has a lot of benefits. “The mental and physical benefits of being outside and spending time in nature are numerous, from increased concentration and mindfulness to decreased stress. Researchers at the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan concluded that spending 20 minutes outside can reduce levels of cortisol—the body’s main stress-response hormone—by 21%. Given that the average American spends just 5% of his or her day outside, anything that gets you outdoors is bound to improve your mood and overall well-being.”
