xQc bites back at fans claiming he’s not the ‘same guy’ anymore

Streaming star Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has hit back at one fan claiming he’s ‘not the same guy anymore’ just because he doesn’t do “endless” streams.

For a lot of longtime streamers, be it on Twitch or somewhere else, it can be difficult to freshen things up after a while. You may have built a fanbase based on success in one game, but that game might not be as fun anymore, or there is something else you want to try.

For xQc, his initial success came off the back of Overwatch’s launch. The Canadian quickly rose up to become one of the best Winston players around, even getting signed to the Overwatch League.

Over the years, his content has definitely switched up. He’s done everything from IRL, to gambling, to playing the popular game at the time, and even hosting his own game show.

xQc addresses complaint about length of his streams

These days, he splits his time between Twitch and KICK, playing a variety of games and typically spending an hour or so reacting to videos and drama as well.

His streams are still rather long, including an 11-hour broadcast split between the two platforms on March 12. However, one fan suggested: “Guys, he isn’t going to be the guy he used to be. No more endless streams!”

That didn’t make sense to xQc. “Umm, what is that even supposed to mean? ‘He’s not going to be the guy he used to be’ Brother, how are you getting mad at an 11-hour stream?” he asked. “Bro, there’s no shot. This is so stupid. That is insane.”

As noted, xQc does split time between Twitch and KICK, starting his daily streams on the Amazon-owned platform before moving over after a few hours.

He is still regularly streaming for 10-12 hours a day, it’s just split into two portions.

There have also been criticisms of his content in the past, with a number of fans complaining about gambling streams. However, he has shelved that for playing more games.
