Wyatt Flores does not appreciate people who lack sympathy. The 23-year-old country music artist made sure to verbally eviscerate an unruly Texas man who made a ludicrous comment during a medical emergency at one of his recent shows.
It was an admirable response!
Flores is a rising country music artist from Oklahoma. He falls more into the undefined category of ‘Americana.’ His sound, rooted in his Mexican-American heritage, combines elements of Red Dirt, folk, alternative and rockabilly with a number of the same chord progressions you would hear on the radio. However, it is his ability to tell a story that really sets him apart.
By all accounts, Wyatt Flores is a really good dude who does not take himself too seriously. The 23-year-old is extremely grateful for every opportunity and stays humble in a world that likes to inflate egos.
His ‘Welcome Back To The Plains’ Tour recently included stops in Huntsville, Columbia, Stillwater (his hometown) and Arlington. One of his fans had a medical emergency during that stretch. I would imagine he or she passed out, but I cannot say for sure.
Flores made sure to stop his show to get the person the help he or she needed. It happens. He wanted to make sure everybody was okay instead of playing through as if nothing was wrong.
Unfortunately, a man in the crowd decided to be an a-hole during the stoppage. “We got s— to do!” he yelled. Flores heard his quip and proceeded to rip him a new one. It was a well-deserved verbal takedown.
Shoutout to Wyatt Flores. Some artists may not even acknowledge the medical emergency in the first place. Others may choose to ignore the inappropriate crowd reaction. He decided to call him out.
As for the joke at the end of the video… Wylie Forhead (Flores’ alter ego) revealed the punchline.
What does a fish say when it hits a wall? Dam!
