Will.i.am revealed that “Mind Your Business” would be released on Friday, but fans weren’t expecting to already be available to stream when they woke up on Friday morning! The song was released at midnight, giving fans time to enjoy a listen or two on their morning commute.
The comments on the YouTube page were overwhelmingly positive. “I LOVE IT WILL!! Thank you for bringing us back our loved Britney!!” one fan exclaimed. “Love it! I hope you and Britney will make more songs in the future,” another follower shared. “This is a club ANTHEM. Britney bringing pop music back yet again,” a third fan chimed in.
“Obsessed with this, especially Britney’s first verse,” another follower wrote. “It’s pretty dance club-like, love it. I hope Britney releases more music in the future,” another fan shared. “As fans, it is very gratifying to hear something new from her,” another follower chimed in. “So good to hear Britney on a new track! This is not at all what I was expecting her to release after the conservatorship, but I will absolutely be dancing to it for the rest of summer,” another fan commented.
Britney Spears’ First Post-Conservatorship Was ‘Hold Me Closer’ In 2022
This song marks the duo’s fourth collaboration. In 2011, they teamed up for “Big Fat Bass,” which appeared on her “Femme Fatale” album. They then reconnected for “Scream & Shout, which was featured as the lead single on his “Willpower” album. He then helped produce Britney’s 2013 album, “Britney Jean.”
Last September, will.i.am revealed that he and Britney had started working together again during an interview on Good Morning Britain. “Yeah, there’s been things in the works,” he said before adding, “I can’t reveal. I live a very private life.”
This is Britney’s second song since her conservatorship ended in November 2021. Last August, she released “Hold Me Closer” with Sir Elton John, which was a remix of his hit song, “Tiny Dancer.” The song became her first top-ten song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in almost a decade.

On Monday night, will.i.am teased a clip of the new song, bridging the gap between “Scream & Shout” and “Mind Your Business.”
Will.i.am’s voice starts off with the lines from “Scream & Shout,” saying, “You are now, now rocking with / Will.I.Am and…” Britney then adds her iconic “Britney, b*tch” before going on to say, “Mind your business, b*tch!”
Although fans were excited by the promise of “tomorrow,” the song did not drop on Tuesday, as many fans expected. Instead, they only received a teaser for the song and an announcement that it would drop on Friday.

On Tuesday morning, “Britney” started trending along with “Britney Is Coming” as fans eagerly awaited her new song. Unfortunately, many fans waited all day only to learn that the song would only be released on Friday.
“July 21st is the date… I’m so excited for this release…” will.i.am tweeted around 6 PM ET on Tuesday night. “I feel like it’s the first released all over again… I can’t wait for FRIDAY…”
Many fans were disappointed, with one follower writing, “I know you did not tell us ‘tomorrow’ only to move it to two days from now. 15 seconds is not enough to sustain me until then !!”
Fortunately, the song is now out, and fans are able to stream it until their hearts are content! Hopefully, this will tide fans over until Britney Spears’s memoir, “The Woman In Me,” comes out in October. Fans can find out more details about her memoir by clicking here!
