Wild Pink are back with a new single, “Air Drumming Fix You.”
“Air Drumming Fix You” is Wild Pink’s first offering since 2022’s ILYSM, and their first since recently signing to Fire Talk Records. John Ross, Wild Pink’s frontman, narrates scenes of impressionistic contrast in “Air Drumming Fix You,” jumping from VR scapes to church pews. “She was air drumming to ‘Fix You,’” Ross mutters in the song’s blooming, majestic finale, referencing the Coldplay song before warbling saxophones return beside him. Stream the new track below.
Wild Pink are currently gearing up for a new US tour, where they’ll be performing alongside Greg Mendez, Sun June, Empty Country, Sweet Harm, and The Ravonettes for select dates. Wild Pink’s tour kicks off in Burlington, Vermont on March 13th with Mendez; the band will then hit cities like their native New York, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Houston, and San Francisco. They’ll finish their trek with a date in San Diego, California on June 8th with The Ravonettes. See Wild Pink’s full tour routing below, and get tickets to all their upcoming dates here.
Wild Pink’s last album was ILYSM, which featured contributions from Julien Baker, Ryley Walker, and Dinosaur Jr.’s J Mascis. Revisit our interview with Wild Pink from 2022.
