Adult nightclubs aren’t exactly known for leniency when it comes to customer behavior—and for good reason.
Between protecting the privacy of dancers and making sure patrons feel comfortable, these businesses have a long list of dos and don’ts. No filming; no touching. No exceptions.
Still, plenty of people try to skirt those rules. And sometimes, they get caught in the act.
Customer Tries To Enter Club With Camera Glasses
TikTok creator Britknee (@britknee0405), who works as a host at an Atlanta adult club, shared a recent encounter that had her followers shaking their heads.
In the now-viral clip, which has garnered over 1.1 million views, she stops a patron from entering after noticing he’s wearing Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses—which come equipped with cameras in the lenses.
The video picks up with the man questioning her decision. “Why not?” he asks.
“Because they have… they’re the Ray-Bans, my love,” she tells him, calmly explaining that camera-equipped glasses aren’t allowed.
When he insists that he wears them everywhere, Britknee cuts him off. “Not here. Promise you that. You’re gonna have to leave them outside or leave them with me,” she says.
“I gotta leave my glasses with you?” he repeats, clearly annoyed.
“Yeah, they have cameras on them, and we don’t do that,” she responds.
After asking how much it costs to get in, the man tosses the glasses onto the counter. Britknee now seems visibly uncomfortable.
He then compares his glasses to a phone, questioning why those are allowed. “I mean, we ain’t gotta go in today,” Britknee tells him, with on-screen text that reads, “Since he has a problem with the rules…”
The man protests, “Did I put them right there or not?”
“You did, but you can’t toss them,” Britknee replies. “I don’t need the attitude at all.”
Seconds later, he slams the glasses down again, harder this time. That’s when she calls over security. “You can get these guys out,” she tells a nearby guard.
“He walked in with camera glasses, said we should be worried about the phones… I’m sure he was able to get in with them elsewhere,” she wrote in the caption.
Are Camera Glasses Allowed In Clubs?
Generally, no. Most adult clubs banned camera glasses around 2013 when Google Glass first hit the scene. That policy usually extends to all recording devices—phones, GoPros, and now, smart eyewear like the Ray-Ban Metas.
While policies vary by location, the general consensus is the same: no filming inside. Still, many dancers say the rule doesn’t always get enforced.
“I have been recorded so many times and I don’t play about that s—,” one dancer wrote on Reddit. “Not all bouncers will do anything, so take that power into your hands!”
Smart Glasses Raise Ethical Concerns
Ray-Ban Meta glasses might look like a regular pair of sunglasses, but they come loaded with tech. With built-in cameras and microphones, users can discreetly take photos, record video, and answer calls with a tap on the temple.
That discretion, however, is exactly what’s drawing criticism. While there is a small white LED that lights up when the glasses are recording, many have said it’s too easy to miss—especially in bright or crowded environments.
Privacy regulators in Europe have also raised red flags. In 2021, Ireland’s Data Protection Commission (DPC) expressed concerns about whether bystanders could reasonably know they were being recorded. The agency asked Meta to demonstrate that the LED light is an effective means of alerting people nearby.
Meta and Ray-Ban responded by adding a safeguard that prevents recording if the LED is covered. As troubling as it is, however, some users on Reddit have shared that they’ve found ways around this. They said they permanently disabled the light, even though it voids the warranty.
“The capture LED is too obvious and raises too many questions,” one person wrote in r/RaybanMeta. They said they removed it altogether so they could record without drawing attention.
Commenters Applaud The Host
Viewers didn’t hesitate to support Britknee in the comments.
“If he disrespects you at the door, imagine how he treats the women inside. You’re the best first line of defense,” one person wrote.
Another said, “You caught that quiiiiiiick. The girls are lucky to have u at the front.”
And one viewer put it plainly, “His refusal tells us exactly what he was going to do with those glasses.”
