Jeff Bezos’ space company, Blue Origin, has sent a star-studded, all-female crew into space for an expensive 11-minute flight. Here’s everyone that was on it.
The flight took place on Monday, April 14, 2025, and was one of the most hyped-up launches that Blue Origin has ever performed.
Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket and capsule carried the star-studded crew into space for their 11-minute flight, and the official YouTube stream amassed over 50,000 viewers.
Singer Katy Perry was by far the most popular person on the all-female flight crew, but some viewers were left curious as to who joined her on the short trip to space.
Who was a part of Blue Origin’s all-female crew?
Here are all the stars that were a part of Blue Origin’s all-female crew for its 11th human flight, NS-31:
- Katy Perry
- Aisha Bowe
- Amanda Nguyen
- Gayle King
- Kerianne Flynn
- Lauren Sanchez
Alongside Katy Perry was Aisha Bowe, an aerospace engineer with over 77k followers on Instagram alone. She’s also known as the founder of STEMBoard, a technology company, and Lingo, a STEM-focused educational tech company that features tutorials and online resources on their platform.
Amanda Nguyen is a civil rights activist whose work focuses on race and gender, and she even earned a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019.
CBS morning show host Gayle King made her way onto the all-female crew as well, followed by indie film producer Kerianne Flynn and Jeff Bezos’ fiancee, Lauren Sanchez. It’s unknown how much they each paid for a seat, but Blue Origin requires a $150,000 deposit to reserve it.
The flight lasted just 11 minutes, and the capsule holding the crew safely made its way back to Earth. After landing, both Perry and King kneeled on the ground and kissed the dirt to celebrate their return.
