Zoey Alexandria passed away in Chicago, Illinois, on April 30, 2024.
She died at the age of 29 just weeks after The Unknown was introduced in Dead By Daylight.
Alexandria suffered from pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome, a form of encephalitis.
The condition, which is rare in adults, can cause brain inflammation.
Because of her health struggles, she was unable to work and created a GoFundMe to help with her expenses.
Alexandria also had pre-existing immunoglobulin G deficiency and chronic strep infections which made the brain inflammation more likely, according to her GoFundMe.
