The Masked Singer is back!
The quarter-finals of the mystery celebrity singing competition aired on Wednesday night (December 4) on Fox.
The show, which began in South Korea, features celebrities singing songs while wearing costumes and face masks concealing their identities until they’re eliminated. Throughout the season, the contestants provide clues to try and help the judges and fans figure out who is under the mask.
This season also features Ambassadors, who are all alums of the series, that have a special connection to each singer and will be providing major new clues about their friends’ identities.
During the episode, the Top Four – Wasp, Goo, Strawberry Shortcake, and Buffaloes – hit the stage for their quarter-finals performances.
While on stage, Strawberry Shortcake performed “Closer” by Tegan And Sara.

OUR GUESS: AJ Michalka
Based on the clues, we’re pretty positive that AJ Michalka is under the Strawberry Shortcake mask. AJ got her big break starring alongside sister Aly Michalka in the Disney Channel original movie Cow Bells, which explains all of the Disney references and the stuffed cow clue. Her first appearance on Disney Channel was on Miley Cyrus‘ series Hannah Montana and she and her sister opened Miley‘s Best of Both Worlds Tour in 2008. AJ and Miley both dated Jonas Brothers (AJ dated Joe Jonas and Miley dated Nick Jonas.)
She and Aly have made a name for themselves in the music industry with their first big hit song being “Potential Breakup Song.” They have also performed at music festivals including Nextfest Summer Tour, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits Festival, and BeachLife Festival. AJ also starred alongside her Ambassador Hayley Orrantia on the ABC comedy series The Goldbergs. The cat clue can also represent AJ’s roles as Catra in the Netflix animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power or on the CW series Hellcats.
The phone call from her sister would obviously be from Aly, who quietly welcomed her first child, a son named Jack, in April.
