When did Ryan Murphy and David Miller get married?
In a 2018 interview with The New Yorker, Ryan Murphy revealed that the two met in 1996 at a gay club in LA.
The TV writer and producer also divulged that while they remained friendly, they only started dating almost 15 years later in 2010.
“It was kind of like — I don’t want to say, ‘Game on,’ but we knew what was up because we’d flirted over the years,” he told The New Yorker.
“We were at an age where we were both serious about wanting a relationship, wanting children.”
The couple got married in Provincetown, Massachusetts on July 4, 2012.
The ceremony was so private, that only an officiant was present, according to Distractify.
Do Ryan and David have children?
After five months as a married couple, Ryan and David welcomed a child together.
Their first son, Logan Phineas Miller Murphy, was born on December 24, 2012, via surrogacy, according to Popsugar.
Two years later, their second son, Ford Theodore Miller Murphy, was born on October 6, 2014.
The usually private pair shared that Ford was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a pediatric cancer, at age 2, according to People.
Ryan also posted a since-deleted Instagram post that his son “has undergone a huge surgery and several difficult procedures.”
Ford has since made a full recovery and his parents donated $10 million to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles in 2018.
On August 18, 2020, the couple welcomed a third child, Griffin Sullivan Miller Murphy.
Like his older brothers, Griffing was born via surrogacy.
According to People, Ryan announced Griffin’s arrival by posting a photo of all three of the boys together.
