Born on January 5, 1972, Luciana Pedraza is an Argentine filmmaker from Salta, Argentina.
A graduate of the University of Buenos Aires, Luciana wrote and directed The Portrait of Billy Joe; a 2004 biographical documentary about Billy Joe Shaver.
She has also appeared in Assassination Tango and Wild Horses; both of which starred her husband, Robert Duvall.
Robert and Luciana walked down the aisle on October 6, 2004.

How did Robert meet Luciana?
According to both Robert and Luciana, they met while the former was visiting Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1996.
At the time, the Oscar winner’s go-to flower shop had just closed down.
He happened to come across a local flower shop where Luciana was working.
When Robert came into the shop, Luciana didn’t know who he was.
“I met my wife in Argentina,” he recalled to Esquire.
“The flower shop was closed, so I went to the bakery.

“If the flower shop had been open, I never would’ve met her.”
Luciana’s story matches with her husband’s, she remembered to the Austin Chronicle: “I didn’t want to, but my friends said, ‘Go invite him to our party.’
“He loves the tango. So we walked around the block and talked.
“I said, ‘Mr. Duvall, here’s my card. If you wanna come to this party, my friends would love to have you,’ with no expectations, and he came.
“He was Bobby. And still, to me, he is just Bobby. And then I saw him working on The Apostle, and saw some of his other films, and I was able to admire his work.”
