AS well as a number of star-studded celebrities, Dancing On Ice also features a line-up of talented professional skaters.
One professional helping the hopeful stars is Brendyn Hatfield. But who is he and is he married? From his time on the ice to his life away from the spotlight – here’s everything you need to know.
Who is Brendyn Hatfield?
Brendyn Hatfield, born January 4, 1986, is an American professional ice skater.
He joined Dancing On Ice back in 2020, and has featured on the show ever since.
During his Dancing On Ice Journey, Brendyn has been partnered alongside journalist and newsreader Lucrezia Millarini, rapper Lady Leshurr, singer and S Club star Rachel Stevens and Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
For the 2024 series, which is hosted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern, Brendyn is skating alongside comedian Lou Sanders.
Prior to joining the popular skating show, Brendyn participated in several European tours, before landing the role of Aladdin on Disney on Ice, and later in Holiday on Ice.
As well as being a pro on the ice, he also studied Media Management in the US and has held jobs as an Editor and Cinematographer.
Away from the ice, the skating star shares a glimpse of his life with fans and followers on Instagram.
As of January 2024, the professional skater has over 26,000 followers on the social media platform.
Is Brendyn Hatfield married?
Brendyn was previously in a relationship with wife and pro skater Jessica, who was a reserve dancer for the 2020 Dancing on Ice series.
But they split two years ago and she has since returned to the US where she has been working as a nurse as well as taking part in the Disney On Ice tour.
A source previously said: “Brendyn and Jessica are still friends, but haven’t been in a relationship for a long time.”
In April 2023, The Sun exclusively revealed that Brendyn and his 2022 Dancing On Ice partner Rachel Stevens were an item.
She previously split from her long-time partner Alex Bourne in July 2022 after over a decade.
The pair skated together on the ITV1 show and they stayed in touch after they were booted off the series.
A source said: “Rachel had a really great friendship and partnership with Brendyn and it keeps developing. They’re really smitten and looking forward to the future.
“She wasn’t expecting to find love again at this stage in her life but she’s feeling positive about what’s to come and hopeful about a new start.”
In January 2024, Rachel Stevens was spotted kissing her Dancing On Ice boyfriend in a rare loved-up snap to celebrate the skater’s birthday.
She wrote: “Happy birthday to this most kind, loving and beautiful soul. I love you.”
As mentioned above, US pro skater Brendyn is part of this year’s Dancing On Ice cast, which also features Rachel’s former bandmate Hannah Spearritt.
When is Dancing On Ice on TV?
Luckily for viewers, Dancing On Ice is back on the box.
The iconic ice show returned to screens on Sunday, January 14, 2024 – with a brand new line- up of famous faces hoping to impress the judges.
Following the launch of the 2024 series, viewers can tune into the latest Dancing On Ice action every Sunday on ITV and ITVX.
