Who is country singer Breland?

Breland, whose legal name is Daniel Gerard Breland, is a country singer from Burlington Township in New Jersey who was born on July 18, 1995.

In May 2020, he released his debut extended play titled BRELAND EP with a total of seven songs.

His song My Truck made him a breakout star as it is one of his top tracks on Apple Music.

A month later, in June, he released a second EP entitled Rage and Sorrow.

Most media has described Breland’s music as “country trap.”

He takes classic country music themes from trucks to horses and puts them together with trap beats.

Breland’s music is often compared to that of Lil Nas X.

How many albums has Breland released?

On June 14, 2022, Breland announced on X that his debut album would be released on September 9, 2022.

He wrote: “Let’s goooo!!! My debut album “CROSS COUNTRY” is dropping September 9th 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

“I’m so excited for y’all to hear what I’ve been working on for the past two and half years.🔥🔥🔥”

According to the singer, he began working on the record in early 2020.

The lead single for the album, Natural, was released on June 14.

While Breland has not released a follow-up album to Cross Country, he has released a third EP.

Breland and Friends: Vol. 1 was released on January 26, 2024, and features 6 songs performed live by Breland and several collaborators.

What artists has Breland collaborated with?

As a newcomer in the country music world, Breland is already gaining respect from long-time legends.

Country singer Keith Urban is featured on Cross Country and appeared in Breland’s music video for Throw It Back.

Breland also collaborated with songstress Mickey Guyton, country group Lady A, and Thomas Rhett for his debut album.

Before his debut album release, Breland commissioned the likes of Chase Rice and Lauren Alaina for his first EP.

His third EP features artists like Sam Hunt and Nelly.

On July 8, 2024, Rural Radio announced that Breland and Shania Twain would release a song together.

The song is called Boots Don’t and will be released on July 19 as part of the 2024 film Twisters.
