CANDICE Swanepoel is a Victoria’s Secret model, a top-earner featured on Forbes’ list, and a mom-of-two.
She shares her two sons with her ex Hermann Nicoli, who she reportedly split with in 2018.
Just three years earlier, in August 2015, the South African model announced her engagement to Hermann.
The couple had been together since she was 17 years old, after meeting in Paris.
Hermann was born on July 8, 1982, and is originally from Brazil.
He has also worked as a model.
Getting engaged
The couple kept their relationship away from the spotlight, but in 2013, Hermann stunned fans by attending the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After Party.
Their engagement came after ten years of dating, but Candice revealed to Hello! magazine that she was in no rush to tie the knot.
She said: “I kind of feel married already.
“Ten years is kind of a marriage, so I don’t really need papers to tell me that.
“It helps because we’ve grown together over the years.
“He’s helped me a lot through all the experiences and been a rock in my life.”
Starting a family
Despite never marrying, Hermann and Candice had two children together before separating.
Their first son, Anacã, in October 2016.
In May 2017, Candice shared her joy on being a mom, telling Vogue: “I’m loving being a mum and this new stage in my life.
“It’s always been about me, and my career, and it’s so nice to have this shift and put all my love and energy into something else.”
In December 2017, Candice revealed that she was expecting her second child with Hermann.
She posted “Christmas came early…” adding “#2”.
Their son, Ariel, was born in the summer of 2017.
Splitting up
Hermann last appeared on Candice’s Instagram in September 2017 after the birth of their second son, when the couple posed for Vogue Italia.
After unfollowing each other on social media, fans were quick to speculate what it meant for the pair’s relationship.
Hermann’s Instagram is set to private, but as of October 15, 2024, he has close to 63,000 followers.
Since their split he has remained out of the spotlight
