Who are YouTube stars, The Try Guys?

The Try Guys is a popular YouTube group that posts videos trying outrageous things.

The group was founded by Keith Habersberger, Ned Fulmer, Zach Kornfeld, and Eugene Lee Yang in 2014 while working at BuzzFeed.

In 2018, the group then decided to separate from BuzzFeed and start their own independent production company.

When did Ned Fulmer leave The Try Guys?

On September 27, 2022, The Try Guys announced that Ned was “no longer working with The Try Guys.”

“As a result of a thorough internal review, we do not see a path forward together,” the statement read.

“We thank you for your support as we navigate this change,” it concluded.

The group also released a video on October 3 explaining the separation from Ned Fulmer.

They started by saying during Labor Day weekend they were alerted of Ned’s “romantic public behavior” with “an employee.”

The trio confirmed they investigated the allegations.

Ned was immediately removed from work activities and an HR person was notified to conduct a “thorough review of the facts,” the guys said.

When did Eugene Lee Yang leave The Try Guys?

On May 22, 2024, Rolling Stones exclusively revealed that Eugene Lee Yang will be leaving The Try Guys.

He will be pursuing other creative endeavors but the group will keep going as a duo once their upcoming season of content is over.

Zach Kornfeld told the outlet, “Part of this is bittersweet. We’re gonna miss working with Eugene.

“He has been one of the true collaborators of both of our lives. But we’ve had a long time to process this.

“So we’re very excited for him, very excited for us, and just feeling very energized by this whole moment.” 

Keith Habersberger added, “Eugene leaving is something that is sort of necessary for us to keep moving forward.

“Things change. THE TRY GUYS ’ original cast already came to an end once, But now it’s sort of getting a better finite ending.”

What is 2ndTry.tv and how can I watch?

In a May 22, 2024, YouTube upload, Zach and Keith announced their own streaming service, 2nd Try, which is separate from YouTube.

On the new service, the Try Guys will offer new videos on a subscription basis.

The ad-free streaming service and app launched on May 22, 2024, and cost $4.99 per month.

Zach told The Hollywood Reporter, “I think what excites us is that we now get to treat YouTube and any other social media platform as just that, a social media platform, where we are using it to reach new people and excite them as opposed to entirely relying on our ability to survive as a business on them and their ad dollars.”

Keither added, “You need feedback, and YouTube and all these social media sites give us that real time feedback. So we’re still making stuff for that audience.”

The Try Guys will move forward as a duo and will still post free content to YouTube.
