Per the outlet, the Bonnie and Clyde actress largely attributed their 1979 divorce to their conflicting career schedules and spending time away from each other.

“Time, life, and the world kept wearing away at our relationship,” she wrote in her autobiography, according to The New York Times.

The publication also stated that Peter said in an interview, “Well, we were in a romance, she worked hard and was very dedicated to her work. I worked hard and was very dedicated to my work.”
