YouTuber Cody ‘WhistlinDiesel’ Detwiler has unveiled his latest video, testing a series of unconventional wheels on a four-wheeler, including ovals, triangles, and razor-sharp reaper wheels, with Jackass star Steve-O appearing as the designated safety guy.
WhistlinDiesel has built a large following by pushing the limits of cars, trucks, and off-road vehicles in unpredictable ways. Back in February, he shredded a $400,000 Rolls Royce and sold jars of the pieces. Back in August 2024, he tested the durability of the Tesla Cybertruck by taping C4 to the door and having Jake Paul punch its windows.
In his latest video on July 2, 2025, Detwiler installed several different shapes of wheels onto his four-wheeler, including ones that are shaped like triangles. To make sure he remained safe during the tests, he brought in help from Steve-O.
Oval, triangle and reaper wheels put to the test
The first wheel modification features oval wheels, which are installed and tested on grass and through mud. Despite initial doubts, the four-wheeler with oval wheels did quite well until they eventually got stuck in deeper mud when driving through the lake.
“I think the ovals have a weak spot,” the YouTuber said.
“I know we’ve had the circles for a long time, but we’re modernizing,” he joked. “We’re switching to triangles built for the smoothest of rides.”
WhistlinDiesel usee ChatGPT to calculate that the four-wheeler would need to reach at least 18 miles per hour for the ride to feel smooth due to the shape of the wheels, and was quite surprised with how smooth it actually was.
In the final test, reaper wheels made out of super sharp spikes were installed on the four-wheeler. To test them out, Detwiler ran over a table, chairs, and flew across the grass and muddy area around his pond.
Sometimes, WhistlinDiesel’s videos are so outlandish that fans believe they may be fake, like when his Ferrari burned to the ground while driving through a field.
