Beyoncé released an array of hits featuring prominent country artists including Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson.
However, she released a cover of The Beatles’ hit song, Blackbird, where she showcased the voices of four Black country singers.

Tanner Adell
Tanner Adell is a country singer born on June 27, 1996, in Lexington, Kentucky, and grew up in California with her adoptive parents.
Adell began singing when she was young, however, she began singing in front of audiences when she joined Utah Valley University’s commercial music program.
In 2021, Adell moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. She released her first album with Columbia Records on June 30, 2023, called Buckle Bunny.
Adell received a spot in CMT’s 2024 Next Women of Country class.
As per Uproxx, Adell recalled a year before her collab that it would be a dream to collaborate with the Texas Hold ‘Em singer.
“I really love Beyoncé, so I would love to do a big Beyoncé country moment with dance.
“Obviously, I dance too, so I would be over the moon doing something with her.”
Tiera Kennedy
Tiera Kennedy is an R&B country singer born in Birmingham, Alabama, and now based in Tennessee.
Kennedy fell in love with music at a young age, teaching herself how to play guitar by watching YouTube videos.
She went on to expose her talents to the world by performing around her hometown and performing in legendary venues across Nashville.
In 2020, Kennedy earned her spot on CMT’s Next Women of Country. She released her first EP called Tiera on March 12, 2021.
In addition to her country music career, Kennedy is the host of a podcast called The Tiera Show.
In Beyoncé’s new album, she not only lent her vocals on Blackbiird, she also sang on Beyoncé’s song Tyrant.
“I cannot believe it. God is so good. I’m on a @Beyonce record. And not on one but TWO songs. You can catch me on those harms on Tyrant too,” she wrote in an X/Twitter post.

Brittney Spencer
Brittney Spencer is a country singer born on September 8, 1988, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Spencer grew up singing at her church before starting her solo career when she moved to Nashville, Tennessee.
She gained attention in 2020 after covering The Highwomen’s song Crowded Table.
Since her rise to popularity, Spencer toured with Christopher Cross and Carrie Underwood as a backup singer.
In 2021, Spencer performed at the 55th CMA Awards alongside Mickey Guyton and Madeline Edwards.
In 2024, Spencer received a nomination for the CMT Award for Breakthrough Female Video of the Year.
The 2024 CMT Awards, which is slated for April 7, 2024, will feature a performance from Spencer and Parker McCollum.
Following Cowboy Carter’s release, Spencer extended her appreciation for being on the album.
“I’ve typed and deleted at least 10 captions,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
“I don’t hv anything clever or curated to say. i’m on a beyonce record. the album is a masterpiece. ily @beyonce.”
Reyna Roberts
Reyna Roberts is a country singer born on August 15, 1997, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Roberts considers her sound to be “outlaw country,” taking inspiration from artists such as Beyoncé and Chris Stapleton.
The Alaskan star gained recognition for her 2020 song Stompin’ Grounds. This landed her a spot on CMT’s Next Women in Country’s 2021 class.
Additionally, she was featured on Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Country Live the same year.
Throughout her emerging career, Roberts has opened for big country artists, including Reba McEntire, and performed alongside Luke Combs.
In September 2023, Roberts released her debut album Bad Girl Barbie Vol. 1.
Speaking with BET, Roberts said Beyoncé’s album is set to help bring recognition to Black country artists.
“I believe Beyonce being in the genre will help so many more people be introduced to our music,” she said.
“I’m hoping that she would bring me, Tanner Adell, and Britney Spencer, on tour with her because a country tour would be revolutionary!”
