SUSANNA Reid has become a breakfast TV icon and a familiar face for many people’s morning routines.
However, Good Morning Britain fans will have noticed the 51-year-old was missing from the studio today (August 8, 2022).
Where is Susanna Reid this morning?
Susanna Reid was not at her usual desk in the studio on August 8, 2022.
Her co-host Richard Madeley was on the morning show as usual, but Charlotte Hawkins stepped in to replace Susanna.
The long-serving show anchor has taken the summer off having covered some huge news stories since the beginning of 2022.
Susanna always takes the school holidays off as three of her children are still at school.
Who will replace Susanna on GMB while she is off?
Susanna’s shifts will be split between Charlotte, Ranvir Singh, and Kate Garraway.
Her co-host Richard Madeley will also be taking some time off.
Speaking on Sunday Brunch he said:“I’ve got quite a big break in the summer.
“I’m going to France and then I’ll be back quite a lot in the autumn.”
When will Susanna be back on GMB?
Susanna will back on GMB after the school summer holidays.
Although ITV haven’t confirmed an exact date, it is likely to be Monday September 5, 2022.

The programme airs every Monday to Friday from 6am until 9am on ITV.
Piers Morgan presented the show from 2015 until March 2021 until his departure, after which Richard joined the team.
Richard and Susanna have fronted GMB Mondays to Wednesdays since just before Christmas 2021
Richard told viewers at the time: “I do it month to month at the moment and I’m very happy too.
“I quite like operating at that level. I’ve had my main career curve. I’m not seeking another huge career arch.
“We’ll see what happens, but I enjoy it, I enjoy doing it.”
