Netflix’s Wednesday series starring Jenna Ortega is heading back to our screens soon. In fact, we’ll be seeing Wednesday Addams this summer, which we suppose is why Thing had to pack sunscreen in her bag. But Wednesday won’t be coming back to us whole, no, it turns out, season two will be releasing… in parts. And that’s fitting in its way. The eight-episode season will release in batches of four. This should give us just the dose of spookiness we need to lead us into Halloween season. Wednesday‘s season two trailer is frankly very good. It captures all the horror-camp-heart we loved about season one and dials everything up a notch.

What are some of Wednesday’s favorite things, the trailer for season two invites us to ask. We’d say, murder, mayhem, and creepy dolls with human hair. Hey, Wednesday has to show her affection somehow. We’re thrilled to see her friendship with “roomie” Enid Sinclair front and center in this Wednesday season two teaser trailer, it’s definitely one of our favorite relationships from the series.
In addition to Wednesday, we catch up with all our favorite Addams and co. in this first-look. And that includes Wednesday’s little brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), who will join her this year at Nevermore Acadamy. And we can’t forget Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán), of course. Joining us in season two, and making her first-look appearance in the season two trailer is Hester Frump (Joanna Lumley), who plays Wednesday’s grandmother and Morticia’s mother. Truly, it’s a family affair. Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen) is back in the mix as well, and we love him.
Creator Alfred Gough shares about Wednesday season two and its trailer, “Season 1 really focused on Wednesday, but you met the other characters but didn’t get to know them, and now we get to expand their storylines and expand the scope and breadth of the show.”
Tim Burton adds, “Your family at school is the worst thing possible, isn’t it. I never wanted my parents to come to school. Wednesday is an even more extreme version of that. Poor Pugsley. He’s kind of an outcast among outcasts, so I feel for him. He comes into Nevermore for the first time, so we get to see his experience at school. Everybody has their own specialty power, and he’s new to his own. He’s just exploring his newfound teenage powers.” And you can see those powers starting to grow in the Wednesday season two trailer.
But when exactly will we see Wednesday season two release? Part 1’s Premiere Date is August 6, 2025 and Part 2’s Premiere Date is September 3, 2025.
