Disney+ released a new trailer for the second season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
Season 2 will pick up months after the events on Kamino in the finale of the first arc. The animated Clone Wars spinoff follows a crew consisting of genetically enhanced clone troopers, known as Clone Force 99, along with clone child Omega, following the fall of the Republic.
“We worked really closely with [The Bad Batch creator] Dave [Filoni] to make sure they look right,” executive producer Brad Rau said. “We iterated on these characters to get that kit-bashed, worn-through feeling, which really mirrors where they’re at at this point, very early on in Season 2.”
The first trailer was revealed during The Bad Batch panel at Star Wars Celebration 2022 earlier this year.
Rhea Perlman and Noshir Dalal will return to guest star as Cid and Vice Admiral Rampart, respectively. Wanda Sykes will lend her voice to the character Phee Genoa in a guest role.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch will debut its first two installments on Jan. 4, 2023. Head writer Jennifer Corbett revealed the rollout plan, which will see 16 new episodes air across nearly three months, on Wednesday:
