US country music star Morgan Wallen suffered a nasty fall during his huge Hyde Park gig last night.
The award-winning singer, 31, styled it out as those watching in the audience gasped in surprise.
Dressed in a cap, white shirt and matching trousers, Wallen was walking across the Great Oak stage when he tripped and came close to falling face first.
Fortunately he saved himself with an outstretched hand and continued with his performance of track You Proof like a pro.
Wallen sang 23 songs on the night including his smash hit with Post Malone, I Had Some Help. He concluded with a three song encore of Thinkin’ Bout Me, Last Night and The Way I Talk.
The Tennessee man has had a meteoric rise in the last few years and is now one of the biggest stars in the genre.
He’s released three studio albums, the latest of which was last year’s One Thing at a Time, and he’s picked up numerous awards including a Country Music Association (CMA) Award, 15 Billboard Music Awards, and multiple Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.
But Wallen’s career has also survived major controversy.
Back in 2021 he was suspended by his record label after video footage emerged of him using a racial slur.
The video, which was shot by a neighbour in Nashville, took place after Wallen returned home after a night out with some friends.
He responded to the controversy by saying: “I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever.
“I want to sincerely apologise for using the word. I promise to do better.”
