After receiving its premiere at this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California, the first teaser trailer for Season 3 of Disney’s The Mandalorian debuted at D23 on Saturday. The series will premiere in February 2023.
The long-awaited third season of the hit Disney+ series is due to arrive early next year, and fans are finally getting a peek of what to expect. The teaser shows Pedro Pascal’s titular character seemingly being judged alongside his companion Grogu, f.k.a. Baby Yoda, and stripped of his title. “You are no longer a Mandalorian,” Din Djarin is told.
The clip then showcases a full cast of characters familiar and new. Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, and Emily Swallow are among those returning for the new season, which also adds Christopher Lloyd and Tim Meadows. It’s a dramatic look at what’s to come from Disney’s current flagship Star Wars series, which kicked off Season 2 in late 2020.
Of course, the return of The Mandalorian isn’t the only thing fans were treated to at the Star Wars Celebration. In May, Disney shared the first teaser trailer for Andor, a new series that serves as a prequel to Rogue One. Due to premiere in September, the show has been described as a “tense nail-biting spy thriller,” promising a decidedly different vibe than fans have come to expect from Lucasfilm’s TV offerings. On top of that, it was announced Jude Law will star in the newly revealed series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, which will be helmed by Spider-Man director Jon Watts.
They dropped their newest trailer which features a continuation of the story and gives fans a closer look into what the series has to offer. Check it out here:
