When Britney Spears got married in 2022, it’s been a good year for the princess of pop despite many unfortunate events. She’s gone through a lot in her life, and it was all brought upon her by sudden fame and the lack of understanding of how to deal with that. She blames her mom for many of the issues she’s been through – though we think she blames her father more than her mother. Britney Spear’s Mom, Lynne Spears, is a woman who is not currently on speaking terms with her daughter. They are in a rough place, and this is one relationship we aren’t sure can be repaired. Britney Spears is a Married Woman
Britney is living her best life. She’s no longer under the control of her father and the conservatorship he had over her for more than 13 years of her life. She is no longer at his mercy to make all her decisions regarding how she spends her money, where she finds health care, and how she lives her life. She knew immediately that marriage was in the cards for her following the end of someone else taking care of her decisions, and she made her own. She and Sam Asghari dated for many years, and their wedding was something she looked so forward to. June 9, 2022, was a big day for the couple as they vowed to love one another through thick and thin.
Was Britney Spears’s Mom Invited to Her Wedding?
As it happens, no, she was not. Lynne Spears and her daughter, Jamie Lynn, were not on the guest list. Britney did not include them on the guest list, which she made a personal choice for herself. The pop star has been exceptionally outspoken regarding her feelings for her sister and her mother over the past few years, and she’s not made any effort to be kind to them and include them in the things that bring her joy. But, honestly, this is her choice, and it’s no one’s business.

However, despite not being invited to the big day, both Britney Spears’ mom and sister send her some well wishes and happy thoughts. They said they were so happy for her, that she was radiant and glowing, and that she looked so happy. Did they mean it? Were they trying to look good in the press? Do they feel hurt or upset by not being invited? Do they feel anything other than just happiness for their family member, or are they just trying to be the more prominent people? We may never know.
What Was Britney’s Wedding Like?
You are incorrect if you thought she might do the over-the-top thing, invite everyone, and make it a production. Spears made this day all about herself, as she should. She made it clear that this wedding was about her, her new husband, and the love that they shared. She invited approximately 60 guests and got married in her own California home. There was nothing over-the-top about it, and it was much like you might expect from anyone getting married in their own home. Albeit, their multi-million dollar mansion in California kind of home.
The only thing that seemed to go awry on her wedding day was her first husband – Jason Alexander. He’s been accused of stalking the star and her family multiple times. He did make an appearance on her wedding day, to which he was not invited. Instead, he tried to break into her house and was arrested for it. Thankfully, the incident did not ruin the day for the pop star, and things were outstanding for her.

Is There a Chance Britney and Her Mom Will Ever Make Up?
We don’t know the truth behind what happened. We know Lynne Spears proclaims her innocence in all of it, but she also blames herself for Britney’s downfall. She said in the past, she wasn’t prepared for the fame that Britney found in her career, and she did not know how to help her daughter through that. We also know that Britney is adamant and angry with her family for handling her adult life. We also know that there are three sides to every story, and we simply don’t know the truth. For the moment, however, we do know that this is a family that seems beyond repair. Perhaps one day, Britney Spears’s mom and daughters will be family again, but we don’t think it’ll happen soon.
