Wargasm have shared reflective single ‘Small World Syndrome’.
The duo’s second independent release since declaring themselves “free from the industry machine” – following the explosive ‘Vigilantes’ – it’s a sharp, scathing reflection on the modern world’s slow erosion of magic and individuality.
Speaking on ‘Small World Syndrome’, the band have said:
“They replaced sulphur street lamps with day glow bulbs, they changed the packaging on cigarettes – do you ever feel like there’s a bit less magic in the world? You wake up one day and the venues, the cafes, the cinemas you loved have been shut down. The things that make the world special are bulldozed by greed and homogenisation. Reality gets smaller by the day. Maybe the world’s not smaller – there’s just less in it. This is a little song about that. Your feelings are better out than in.”

Explaining a little more about the track’s video, Wargasm have said:
“The video is a Wargasm x (Haris) Nukem Production, shot in a bizarre world where backstreet lobotomies are the norm and deceivingly hench old ladies loiter on park benches to attack unsuspecting ASBO’s. Oh, and Milkie is running for Leader. You gotta be honest with us – somehow it still doesn’t seem as surreal as the mindfuck world we all actually inhabit…”
Set to join Electric Callboy on their UK arena tour this winter, the duo have also announced an exclusive and ‘Phone Free’ headline show at Outernet in London.
