A fitness influencer has gone viral with a hack to help you eat healthier at McDonald’s, but there’s a catch.
Since its launch in 2016, TikTok has been the home of quite a few fast-food hacks like how to make your fries taste like a burger and how to get an extra serving of fries for free.
There are health-focused hacks as well like the viral protein Coke that has users mixing protein shakes with Diet Coca-Cola.
TikToker Jackson Adams has shared yet another healthy food hack, this time showing how to maximize your protein at McDonald’s without breaking the bank in the process.
Influencer reveals easy McDonald’s protein hack
In a video posted on February 19, Jackson revealed that he went through the McDonald’s drive-thru to get two grilled chicken breasts.
He said they sell them for just $3 a piece, and they total 60g of protein combined, making it an easy way to reach your goals for the day if you’re trying to lose weight or simply eat healthier.
Fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, with many excited about the hack.
“Didn’t know you could do this. brilliant,” one user replied.
Another said: “This is exactly what I do but I get BBQ sauce and use just a bit of it. Delicious, satisfy my maccas cravings.”
The only downside to the grilled chicken breast hack is that McDonald’s in the United States no longer has them available, as they were removed back in 2020 in an effort to focus on its most popular items.
That’s not the only thing that was removed, either, as McDonald’s quit offering Snack Wraps and Chicken Select tenders around the same time.
McDonald’s is bringing Snack Wraps back to the menu in 2025, however, as the CEO doubled down on its re-release during a February earnings call but didn’t reveal when customers would be able to order them.
