A mysterious video from helmet camera footage that shows a motorcycle riding straight through a person who vanishes like a ghost has gone viral.
The driver of the motorcycle, Karl Siao Dagus, shared the video on Facebook earlier this month and it caused such a stir that numerous local local newspapers and TV news shows picked it up to try and figure out what happened.
In the video, Dagus is seen riding through the streets of Cagayan de Oro in the Philippines at what he says was around 3:00 a.m. in the morning.
RepublicAsia.com reports that Dagus said during an interview with GMA Regional TV One Mindanao that he spotted what looked like a boy appear seemingly out of nowhere then began to dash across the street.
The ghost, for lack of a better description, then vanished just as Dagus and his passenger on the motorcycle were about to collide with it.
After the near collision, when he slowed briefly and turned his head to look back behind him, the helmet camera showed there was absolutely nothing there.
“Felt weird,” he wrote on Facebook. “This kid never glanced at us. Even though I spammed my passing light.
“But he stopped for a second … Then bolted towards us at the last second … Then disappeared.
“We never felt his presence during the encounter,” Dagus continued.
“I am not sure what it was, but thank you Lord for the protection.”
RepublicAsia.com reports that Dagus said he felt a strong, cold wind pass through him at the moment of what should have been contact.
The video has currently been shared over 16,000 times on Facebook and generated over 6,000 comments.
Karl Siao Dagus is far from the only one to have a frightening encounter with a ghost recently.
In January, a “Nightmarcher” demon (or ghost of an ancient tribal Hawaiian warrior) was spotted in Oahu by an ultramarathon runner as she traversed the Hawaiian rainforest.
Actors Andrew Garfield and Kristen Stewart also recently claimed to have had strange encounters with ghosts.
