Georgia Fowler is getting back into shape in her workout gear after having a baby. In a new social media post the Victoria’s Secret model shows off her amazing body after baby during a workout. “Slowly but surely finding my support and strength. Post partum training is no joke, it’s like starting from scratch. I suffered extreme back pain, pair that with lugging a two year old around on hip, breastfeeding a newborn five hours a day, all with enough relaxant to make me feel like a slinky milinkey. So grateful for @fluidform_northbondi for supporting me in my journey back to strength, and pushing me safely. Can’t wait to feel me again!” she captioned an Instagram post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
There are no excuses to skip a workout, according to Georgia. “I love to work out year-round, I’m lucky like that. I do swimwear jobs all year so I always try and stay in shape. But then when you’ve got 1.4 billion people watching, there’s no real excuse and there’s no off days so you just really up the anti. It has been quite difficult because I’ve been travelling a lot lately and doing early call times as well. It’s about getting yourself to the gym even though you’ve been up at 3am and shooting all day and on a plane,” she told Grazia.
Strength training is one of her go-to exercises. “I do a lot of different sorts of exercises to keep it exciting and interesting,” Georgia told Grazia. She he trains with Joe Holder [@ochosystem] and does “a lot of strength work which I think my body responds really well to. In addition to strength training, I do a lot of interval training and just working really hard with no excuses.” In one Instagram post she showed off her workout, which involved everything “from jump rope to sprints and pull-ups,” she wrote. “Worked on hinge to keep the 🍑 tight with a couple deadlift variations and then make sure to keep that back right with some TRX rows and added in a small reach for a single arm variety. Big ball slams into passes to put it all together.”
Georgia is a runner. Prior to the 2018 Victoria’s Secret show, she set out to run a mile (1.6 kilometres) in seven-and-a-half minutes. “I chose that because I’m not really a runner at all myself but I was working out and wanted to do something that would really challenge me and push myself to get on the tread,” she told Grazia. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
When it comes to diet, Georgia practices time restricted eating. “I have been doing intermittent fasting which has been really great for my body to digest all my food overnight. I’ll start with a coffee with MCT in the morning,” she told Grazia. She also consumes “a lot of really high-quality fats like avocado, walnuts, macadamia nuts and adequate proteins like salmon and leafy vegetables and greens,” she told Grazia. “I’ll have an avocado with every meal or lots of walnuts,” she added to Marie Claire. “I try to be super healthy and eat nothing processed. When I wake up, I’ll have a tea with some apple cider vinegar and then I’ll have a coffee. Then straight to the gym for a hard workout, a healthy breakfast and then I’ll go meet some friends for lunch – that is, if I’m not working.”
Georgia also does “pilates, boxing and I have to keep moving all the time,” she told news.com.au. In her recent post she shows off her moves on a reformer. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body’s inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.
