Vh1 reality star comes out as trans on 34th birthday & debuts stunning new look as she asks fans for ‘love & support’

A REALITY star who appeared on a popular Vh1 program has come out as transgender on her 34th birthday.

Debuting her stunning new look and announcing her identity to the world, Valentina from RuPaul’s Drag Race declared herself as transgender in an emotional Instagram post.

Uploading a series of stunning snaps onto her profile, the former Miss Congeniality of Drag Race season nine shared how she has “been in transition” for some time.

Smiling sweetly in some glamorous snaps showing off her brunette locks while donning a white tank top, Valentina reintroduced herself to the world and her 1.4m followers.

“Hello everyone, it’s me Valentina Xunaxi. Today is my bday. I turn 34,” she said at the start of the caption.

“For some time now I’ve been in transition, I’ve been doing it privately but today I wanted to open and share with you all.

“Along the way I’ve felt pressure to come forward so I’ve decided and wanted to take today to declare myself as a transgender woman,” she revealed.

“I welcome all the love, support and protection from my dear fans. Thank you so much,” Valentina concluded.

Reacting to her announcement, one person said: “I’m so happy for your transition, queen, you are incredible, perfect, and unique, and have a wonderful birthday today, we love you.”

A second added: “You finally living your truth. We all knew baby girl. so happy for you.”

“Oh my goodness,” swooned a third, writing, “Happy birthday, and thank you for sharing your truth with us.”

A fourth then said: “What a beautiful post to read, keep shining flawlessly Goddess.”

While a fifth penned: “Stunning!!! A literal MODEL!”

And a sixth said: “The queen that you are.”

Valentina stepped into the spotlight in 2017 when appearing on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

She was a beloved contestant in season nine of the hit MTV series.

Although she was eliminated, Valentina won that season’s Miss Congeniality title.

She then went on to appear on All Stars 4 in December 2018.

Valentina placed sixth in All Stars.

Her success continued after finding fame on Drag Race and she starred as Angel Dumott Schunard in Fox’s Rent Live show in 2019.

The role of Angel was a HIV-positive drag queen.

In Rent she starred alongside Vanessa Hudgens, Jordan Fisher, Brennin Hunt, Tinashe, Brandon Victor Dixon, Kiersey Clemons and Mario.

Speaking out about her identity at the time, she told Out: “I identify as nonbinary

“I don’t completely feel like a man, I don’t completely feel like a woman.

“I feel like a goddess. I feel like I’m my own gender.”
