On Friday, just outside of El Paso, Texas, founding member of The Chicks (formerly The Dixie Chicks) Laura Lynch was killed in a devastating car crash.
Just after sunset, Lynch was driving to Dell City when an oncoming vehicle attempted to pass two cars and slammed head-on into her Ford F-150.
Now, an account of what happened to cause the crash and the aftermath of it has been shared by a eyewitnesses to the fatal scene: the man’s wife and children.
“My wife and kids were two cars behind Laura Lynch’s car traveling eastbound on Highway 62 between El Paso, Texas and Carlsbad, New Mexico,” TikToker @mavmoto182 explained.
“The area they were in was three-lane. There was two westbound lanes and there was one eastbound lane,” he continued. “They were traveling eastbound.
“It was also going over a creek. There were guardrails on both sides so very little room to move off the road.
“In the westbound lane, this truck right here [points at photo] went to pass two vehicles, one being in the travel lane and one being in the passing lane.
“He decided to go around both of them and came into the eastbound and subsequently had a head-on collision with Laura Lynch’s car.
He then revealed how one man tried to help both of the crash victims.
“The truck behind Laura’s car, he exited his truck, ran up to Laura’s car,” he said, but Lynch did not have a pulse.
The guy then ran to the vehicle that caused the crash because it was in flames.
He couldn’t get the doors open so he busted out a window with a screwdriver, cut the driver’s seat belt and removed the driver from the vehicle.
The man then went back to Laura Lynch’s vehicle and soon noticed that it was beginning to smoke so he cut her seat belt and removed her from the vehicle as well.
“This happened around 6:30 p.m. My wife and kids did not leave the scene until midnight,” he shared. “They wouldn’t let any traffic by” until the coroner arrived to assess the situation.
He added, and this has been also reported elsewhere, that the guy who caused the fatal accident did not have any life-threatening injuries.

This TikToker would later add another video showing the road on which the accident occurred along with a question, “Why hasnt the name of the other driver been released yet?”

Here is his first video that some people were upset that he shared, showing the aftermath of the crash, which has since been viewed over 20 million times.
Laura’s Lynch’s truck and the man who caused the crash’s truck barely even resembled motor vehicles after the accident.
