VANDERPUMP Rules’ Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney have fans convinced their newly opened sandwich shop, Something About Her, is already closing their doors.
The West Hollywood eatery had its grand opening in May 2024, but fans are skeptical the business will last long.

Speculation about the famed shop’s closing rose over the weekend when VPR star Tom Sandoval‘s former personal assistant, Ann Maddox, 42, who works at Something About Her, revealed her hours had been cut back.
Ann became known in the Bravo circuit after appearing on Season 11 of VPR as the TomTom owner’s right-hand gal.
However, after admitting the stress of the job and being the go-between for Tom, 41, and Ariana, 38, became too much, she decided to interview for a position as Ariana’s personal assistant instead.
Ann didn’t get the job but did land a gig at Something About Her, though she hinted that the business might not be doing well.

WHERE THE SPECULATION BEGAN
Over the weekend, the TV star encouraged her followers to vote for her podcast, We Signed An NDA, for Overall Reality Podcast for the American Reality Television Awards after a change in her work schedule.
“Well my hours got cut at the shop so I have no choice but to have this succeed,” Ann wrote in an Instagram Story post, before pleading with fans to tune in to help “pay my rent.”
Soon after, numerous threads were posted to an online message board, where fans questioned whether the shop was hurting for business.
“Is SAH shutting down or something?! Why would her hours get cut?” one person asked in the comments of one thread.
Others wondered if something went awry between Ann and her bosses, prompting her to announce the move on social media.
“This doesn’t feel like something someone who is on spectacular terms with their employer would say publicly,” a fan said.
“It’s pretty lame when they took care of her. Who knows what’s going on behind the scenes but if this isn’t a last resort it’s extremely odd to call out your employer,” a second remarked.
“She doesn’t seem to realize posting this will potentially burn a bridge as it’s making SAH look bad,” a third added.
It took some time for Something About Her to get up and running, as The U.S. Sun exclusively reported that Ariana and Katie, 37, faced multiple roadblocks before the shop’s eventual grand opening.

The business partners mentioned the idea of the sandwich shop in a January 2022 episode of VPR, although it took over two years to come to fruition.
Ariana has often left Katie to hold down the fort as she’s booked a string of projects – the latest being jetting off to Fiji to host Love Island USA.
In late July, she was photographed outside the shop for the first time since returning from six months of filming.
The U.S. Sun previously reported that the cafe’s staff were “disappointed” that customers had fewer opportunities to see Ariana due to her busy schedule.
Days after the sighting, Ariana was set to reprise her role as Roxie Hart in the Broadway musical Chicago, again pulling her away from her and Katie’s joint venture.
Despite fears for the shop’s longevity, a source exclusively told The U.S. Sun in June that business was booming.
The insider also noted that VPR lead Lisa Vanderpump’s Sur restaurant being only a few doors down has been a major benefit.
