Miracles happen every day but it’s not every day those moments are captured on video. One of those moments was captured when 17-year-old Trae Ocheltree was in the ICU after being in a horrible accident where he was ejected from his truck and left unresponsive until his friend played Zach Bryan‘s ‘Revival’ for him and the song seemed to jolt him back from the other side.
The accident occurred at the end of May and this incredible moment occurred in the ICY when Trae Ocheltree’s friend Greysen came to visit him. Greysen played Zach Bryan‘s ‘Revival’ on his phone and sang along while standing bedside.
According to WhiskeyRiff, Trae Ocheltree had been unresponsive for two days up to this point following the accident where his truck was t-boned while he was driving with his girlfriend and ejected from the vehicle. While playing the song, Trae Ocheltree squeezed his friend’s hand and made an attempt to mouth the words of Zach Bryan’s song.
Just an incredible moment for him and for everyone in the room. Having been in a similar situation before as that friend, looking down at your bro in a coma and wondering if they’ll ever wake up or be the same, I can’t imagine being there at the time he came to.
After being unresponsive for two days and being pulled out of the by Zach Bryan’s music, the recovery speed seemed to intensity. Just days later, Trae was gifted a guitar by The Christopher Conner Foundation in South Carolina and he was playing Zach Bryan’s ‘Pink Skies’ from his hospital bed:
What’s incredible is at the moment that Trae ‘came back’ after hearing Zach Bryan’s music, Trae’s parents were out in the waiting room letting his friend Greysen have a moment with his buddy. So they were able to then deliver the news to Trae’s parents that he’d “arrived” and his breathing tubes would be able to be removed.
Today’s as good of a time as any to remember to hug your loved ones.
