Twitch streamer goes viral letting viewers pay to “torture” him

Twitch streamer ‘IZIDORE’ is going viral after literally torturing himself using dripping water for views in one of the wildest stunts on the net.

Twitch streamers have found a variety of creative ways to get eyes on their broadcasts over the years. For example, Ludwig streamed inside of a glass box for over two days to raise money for charity, while Norme unofficially broke a world record for going 264 hours without sleeping.

With all this in mind, the bar for what’s considered a truly shocking Twitch stream is pretty high… but somehow, one content creator found a way to raise it even higher.

In April 2025, Twitch streamer ‘IZIDORE‘ took things to an entirely new level. If viewers donated a certain amount of bits to his channel — a virtual currency on the platform — he would have a predetermined amount of cold water drip onto his forehead.

Twitch streamer Izidore literally tortured himself for views.

If this sounds familiar, it’s likely because you’ve heard of it before. Commonly called ‘Chinese Water Torture,’ this is a legitimate method of torture first recorded in the 15th – 16th centuries in Bologna, Italy.

Since then, it’s become somewhat ingrained in the global cultural consciousness, likely in part thanks to Mythbusters, which tested the torture method in a famous 2005 episode of the show. (Results were inconclusive.)

Caution be damned, Izidore put his sanity on the line and allowed his viewers to literally pay to torture him, racking up nearly half a million views on his April 12 broadcast.

In a feat of ingenuity, the streamer crafted a machine that would send cold water droplets raining down on his forehead depending on how many bits his stream received — and he didn’t stop until sixteen hours had passed.

However, it doesn’t look like Izidore felt ‘tortured,’ at all.

“That was so fun, chat,” the streamer remarked after passing the 16-hour mark. “The outcome was way better than expected.”

This is one of numerous wild stunts Izidore has undertaken during his career as a Twitch streamer. A quick look at his previous broadcasts shows that he’s also taken on tasks like “eating 100 chicken nuggets” and even locking himself in a cage for 24 hours — something another streamer did for 30 days in 2019.
