THIS television star has links to the iconic Brat Pack and once dated Demi Moore – but do you recognise who it is?
Viewers probably best know the actor for his role in a long-running sitcom.
Jon Cryer, 59, played “Duckie” in beloved teen film Pretty in Pink, starring opposite Molly Ringwald.
Spotted in LA, he wore a blue shirt, white t-shirt, brown pants, blue sneakers and a flat cap.
Pretty in Pink was written by John Hughes – who also penned The Breakfast Club, Home Alone and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
As a result, Jon had ties to the “Brat Pack” – a group of Hollywood actors who appeared in coming-of-age films in the 1980s.
While working together on 1984’s No Small Affair, Jon briefly dated co-star – and Brat Pack member – Demi Moore.
Speaking on podcast Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson, he revealed: “Demi and I did the movie together and we were both really young people, getting our first big movie break.
“It was so exciting and we did date for a little while there.”
Continuing, Jon admitted he’d believed the relationship was “much more serious” than Demi did at the time.
He played divorced chiropractor Alan Harper on Two and a Half Men from 2003 to 2015.
In the popular CBS sitcom, Alan and his son moved into his older brother’s Malibu beach house.
Jon starred opposite Charlie Sheen and Angus T. Jones in the first eight seasons.
Ashton Kutcher replaced Sheen in the co-lead role from season nine onwards.
Meanwhile, Jon won two Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on Two and a Half Men.
In more recent work, Jon portrayed the legendary DC Comics supervillain Lex Luthor.
He appeared in popular series including Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow.
Jon also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011, recognising his contribution to television.
In 2007, he married host and entertainment reporter Lisa Joyner.
