Singer-turned painter Tuesday Vargas is all set for her forthcoming gallery exhibit, her first.
Vargas expressed her excitement via her Instagram page today, April 19, where she showed some of her paintings to be exhibited.
While she is busy preparing, Tuesday said she never foresaw this happy occasion coming.
“I have never expected that I would be part of this group of artists” she said, noting that most artists in the group studied art while she did not have formal training.
Vargas said that her foray into painting just started as a hobby when the pandemic came. Now, she has grown by leaps and bounds, all poised to exhibit her paintings.
“Lord salamat at dinala mo ako dito. Ang dami kong na discover sa sarili ko nung sinimulan kong mag pinta,” she said. (Lord, thank you for bringing me here. I’ve discovered many things about myself when I started painting.)
She prays for more creativity and commits to continue working hard on her art.
“Salamat po sa aking mga buyers na sumuporta kahit wala pa akong pangalan, salamat sa galleries na nag tatanong pa din kung meron pa akong works (gagawa pa po ako), at salamat sa pamilya ko na number 1 kong cheerleaders,” she added.
(Thank you to my buyers who are supporting me though I do not have a name yet as an artist. Thank you to the galleries asking if I still have works (I will make more), and thank you to my family who are my number one cheerleaders.)
“Thank you Universe! Ito na, artist na ang lola nyo,” she said. (This is it, your granny is already an artist.)
Vargas started in showbiz as a lead singer for Put3ska. She has since ventured into acting and is now the managing director of Weddings by TV, a company engaged in wedding planning and events. JB
