Taylor Swift’s family and security team are apparently appreciative of Travis Kelce because, in addition to being Swift’s boyfriend, he also serves as a “built-in bodyguard.”
According to a source who spoke to The Daily Mail, Kelce makes her security personnel’s job “much easier” because he is a “powerhouse.”
“Taylor’s security personnel and her family are said to be delighted that he doubles up as a ‘built-in bodyguard,’” reported The Daily Mail. “Travis is a big dude and no one would mess with him because, when it comes to Taylor, he would not play if someone tried to come near her.”
“Taylor’s family and everyone who knows her is so relieved by her relationship with Travis – not only because she is madly in love but also because he makes her security personnel job much easier. Travis has vowed to keep her safe and there is no doubt about this. No one will try to come close to her when she is holding hands with her powerhouse boyfriend.”
Kelce, a future Hall of Fame tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, stands at 6’5″ and weighs around 250 pounds. The pair first began dating in 2023, with Swift famously traveling the country to attend Kelce’s games during their run to the Super Bowl LVIII title.
Given the rabidness of Swift’s fans — she even famously and unfortunately has a stalker who was arrested three times in five days — her security team understandably appreciates all the help they can get.
During the 2023 season, Kelce had 93 catches for 984 yards (his lowest since 2015) and five touchdowns. Following their Super Bowl triumph over the San Francisco 49ers, Kelce joined Swift on her tour in Australia.
