Trash Boat have shared the latest taste of their upcoming new album ‘Heaven Can Wait’, with brilliantly self-assured single ‘Better Than Yesterday’.
It follows previous album singles ‘Break You’, ‘Liar Liar’, ‘Delusions Of Grandeur’, and ‘Be Someone’ – the latter featuring a guest appearance from I Prevail vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe.
Speaking on new track ‘Better Than Yesterday’, frontman Tobi Duncan has shared:
“This song centres around the classic saying ‘comparison is the death of joy’. It creeps into everything I do, who does what I do better than me, who makes more money, who’s better looking, who’s stronger, who’s in a bigger band, focusing on everything that I haven’t (yet) managed to achieve and putting myself down because of it, rather than bigging myself up for what I have already done or focusing on achieving more.
This feeling can make you lose faith with anything creative and has crept into my mind regarding music multiple times,” he adds. The song is a reminder to not try to be better than anyone other than yesterdays self, the only person you should focus on beating!”
