Today guest host Olivia Munn reveals perk taken away when Kathie Lee Gifford left show 6 years ago

TODAY guest host Olivia Munn has revealed a perk that has been taken away from guests starring on the show.

The stunning actress, 44, co-hosted the Today spin-off show Jenna and Friends with Jenna Bush Hager all of last week.

And now, just days after her stint as a guest host and calls for her to replace Hoda Kotb since her departure, Olivia has lifted the lid on a behind-the-scenes secret from the show.

Sitting down with Desi Lydic on The Daily Show this week, Olivia made the shock revelation about Today when she shared the perk they no longer have for guests.

Olivia revealed that Today no longer gives hosts wine, which comes after former host Kathie Lee Gifford was always seen drinking wine on air before she quit in 2019.

Chatting on The Daily Show, Desi said to Olivia: “You’ve been co-hosting the Today Show with Jenna in the last week.

“You’ve been fantastic. Has it been so much fun?”

Olivia replied: “It’s so much fun. It is.”

Desi then swooned with the audience and said: “She’s great on there.”

“It’s a very fun show to be on,” Olivia added, “They’re really– it’s just very easy.”

“Do they still give you copious amounts of Chardonnay?” Desi then asked.

“No, they didn’t this time,” Olivia revealed.

Desi exclaimed: “They’ve let up.”

“Yeah. I think that was…. Maybe that was a Kathie Lee thing. But anyways, no,” Olivia added.

She concluded: “It was very nice and pleasant.”

Kathie Lee famously hosted the 4th hour of Today with Hoda Kotb.

Today with Kathie Lee & Hoda ran for 11 years before Kathie left in 2019.

The television presenter left to pursue a career in acting and was replaced by Jenna Bush Hager.

According to reports, guests on Today would often request a drink.

After Kathie left the show it was revealed that she and Hoda drank “5,300 glasses of wine,” over the course of their 11 years together hosting.
