Kunakey spends a lot of time at the beach. One thing she likes to do is go swimming. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself underwater. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming and aquatic exercises have a lot of benefits. “Exercise in an aquatic environment offers numerous options and techniques for almost all levels of physical ability. Exercise can be as basic as walking in the water to more high-level aerobic activities, such as deep-water running or swimming. Standing exercises often are performed in water that is waist to chest deep. These exercises can focus on improving range of motion/flexibility, balance and strength. Resistance training can be amped up by simply increasing the speed of movement or adding equipment, such as mitts, paddles, noodles or bands, to increase drag.“
Another water activity Kunakey likes to do is surfing. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself riding the waves, and captioned them, “In my element.” Calvert Exmoor reports that surfing has a lot of health benefits. “Surfing is widely acknowledged as an intense form of exercise which involves healthy levels of aerobic activity. Surfing encourages participants to move their bodies in new ways, practising movements that are different from everyday activities. The study mentioned above found that, overall, surfing improved the physical wellbeing of the participants. Core body strength, aerobic capacity, increased grip strength and flexibility were all recorded as being improved after the surf programme study.”
Kunakey loves seafood. In the first photo in this Instagram post, she’s seen enjoying a plate of sushi. Kunakey captioned the post, “Sunset blvd.” The Washington State Department Of Health states that fish has a lot of health benefits. “Eating fish is an important source of omega-3 fatty acids. These essential nutrients keep our heart and brain healthy. Two omega-3 fatty acids found in fish are EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Our bodies don’t produce omega-3 fatty acids so we must get them through the food we eat. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in every kind of fish, but are especially high in fatty fish. Some good choices are salmon, trout, sardines, herring, canned mackerel, canned light tuna, and oysters.”
In an interview with Vogue France, Kunakey talked about her approach to fashion. She says that she makes sure to wear outfits that she’s comfortable in. “I don’t know if my style has evolved, let’s say I’ve learned more, I’ve traveled. But I think it’s still pretty much the same comfortable thing. My parents always told me, ‘You’ve got to feel good about your outfit before leaving the house.’ That’s something I really remembered because wearing things I didn’t feel good in could sometimes, show on my face.”
When it comes to fashion, Kunakey likes to come up with her own outfits. “My mood really inspires me, and also the place where I am,” she says to WhoWhatWear. “I don’t really get my inspiration from Instagram or runway shows. I love going to shows, but at the end of the day, it’s a show. For example, I’m not really into wearing head-to-toe runway looks because I won’t be able to wear them in real life. I try to personalize them in my own way so they fit me better.”
