TikToker panics after discovering cardboard cutouts of herself at Walmart

Rising TikTok star Kelsey Kotzur was completely baffled after discovering that a site was selling cardboard cutouts of her likeness on major retailers like Etsy and even Walmart.

Kotzur is an influencer who’s gaining traction on TikTok, where she boasts over 208K followers who tune in to watch her fashion-focused content and daily life living in Brooklyn.

While she’s not shy about sharing her life online, the TikToker was stunned to find out that merchandise using her likeness was being sold without her knowledge or consent by a website — specifically, life-sized cardboard cutouts.

Kotzur told the concerning story in a TikTok video on March 12, 2025, saying that she’d first discovered the cutouts sometime in 2024.

According to the TikToker, a website was selling the merch on major retailers’ virtual storefronts, including companies like Etsy, Amazon, and Walmart.

Luckily, she was able to take the unexpected (and frankly disturbing) information in good spirits, saying that her aunt and uncle had even purchased one just to “troll” her.

“When I decided to make videos on the internet, this is the last thing I thought would happen,” she admitted.

Kotzur’s shocking story goes to show that your online content truly isn’t private — a sentiment echoed by viewers in the comments section.

“This is hilarious but also so weird and scary,” one wrote. “The duality of the internet.”

“Literally, I don’t know if I should be flattered or freaked t he f**k out,” Kotzur replied.

“I mean this in the nicest way, but why would people buy this? (Who are not your family),” another asked.

“This is the absolutely correct take because IDK lmao,” the influencer agreed.

Kotzur is far from the only influencer who’s been a victim of such schemes; in fact, Twitch star Amouranth told Dexerto she was taking legal action against a company selling knockoff merchandise with her image on it, which was even available at major retailer Spencer’s.
